Legends of Kingdom Rush Hero Challenge - Bruxa, Sasquatch, Dark Knight

For round three we're teaming up Bruxa, Sasquatch, and Dark Knight.  Like the last party, I had concerns about this one due to the presence of two melee characters plus Bruxa's mechanics.

Let's just jump straight into Bruxa then.  They brought back her skull mechanic from Frontiers, which I thought was fantastic (there's so much about this game that is a love letter to previous Kingdom Rush games, the first one in particular).  When an enemy dies (Bruxa does not have to get the kill herself), Bruxa gains a skull around her, with the maximum number she can have equal to her current star level.  The skulls increase her basic attack damage and also power many of her skills.

The issue here is that you've got to get this train rolling - get that first kill to get the first skull, which then improves her damage and allows her to use abilities.  Those abilities in turn hopefully translate into more kills that keep replenishing her skull reserve.  The perfect example of this is her Graveyard Kiss ability, which can do significant damage even with only one skull.  So you get a kill, get the first skull, then Graveyard Kiss hopefully one-shots an enemy, giving back the skull you just used.

But my concern was whether this composition can get that kill train rolling.  Sasquatch and Dark Knight are not exactly known for their damage output, and like most ranged characters Bruxa starts out at first level doing only 3 damage.  But I'm happy to say that this comp worked out pretty well all things considered.

Sasquatch has a lot of similarities to the Barbarian - high health with little armor, a multi-target basic melee attack, and regeneration capabilities.  The real problem with him is that he starts with a pitiful 1 movement at level 1.  Thankfully they made his level 1 ability a ranged one, otherwise he would truly be useless until promoted.

The Dark Knight is arguably the best tanking character in the game.  With crazy high armor and the ability to regenerate it all with either of his level 2 abilities, he can take physical damage for days.  The problem of course is that his health is low, so ranged magical damage (of which there is a lot) counters him pretty hard.

So my concern was that battles would get off on the wrong foot - the melee characters wouldn't be able to rush the front line because of Sasquatch's low mobility and Dark Knight having to stay away from ranged enemies in the back, which would delay our ability to get Bruxa rolling and then things would fall apart as we started to get overrun by attackers.  You can watch the videos for yourself, but it ended up just not happening that way, and this comp did pretty well overall:
