Kingdom Rush Alliance Impossible Hero Challenge - Update

So if you've been following my channel you know that after completing the Undying Fury elite campaign I've gone back and started working on getting Stregi and Bonehart caught up in the series.  I've decided this is how I'm going to handle bonus content going forward - after completing a bonus campaign that introduces one or more new heroes, I'm going to go back and do all the previous levels with them so that they're up to speed going into the next bonus campaign.

I originally did this just because I felt like I needed a break after finishing the Undying Fury bonus campaign.  Life has been exceptionally busy lately - as you've no doubt noticed by my haphazard upload schedule - and I just wanted some easy, mindless content to do before diving into the next bonus campaign.  And nothing says easy and mindless like replaying the first half of the main campaign - especially with new heroes who are at least mid-tier or better.

I really like Stregi and Bonehart.  So far both of them are coming out about where I initially predicted them to grade-wise - Stregi is a pretty middle-of-the-road hero, while Bonehart is the Dark Army answer to Broden - an AoE powerhouse who trivializes maps (sorry Kosmyr, you're awesome, but you just can't quite hang with Broden).

Something I've been neglecting so far in this challenge is report cards.  I really should have done one after finishing the main campaign, but life was just a little crazy around that time and I just didn't get to it.  However, I promise that once I get Bonehart and Stregi caught up through the Undying Fury campaign I'll do a mid-term report card so we can see where everyone stands.

As for the rest of the channel content, I promise I will get back to my Skyrim series soon.  I've just been devoting the remainder of my time recently to some works in progress that I needed to do just for a change of pace.

I did a bad thing...

So many of you may have been wondering where I've been the last few months, with no posts either on this blog or my YouTube channel.  Now I did share on my channel that we recently adopted our son, and if you've ever had a newborn you know they're rather all-consuming during that stage.  So yes, part of the answer is I just haven't had nearly as much time for videos as usual.  But there's something far more nefarious going on as well, that I felt the need to confess here on my blog.  After swearing I would never do it, I've gotten into playing World of Warcraft Classic.

Now I never played original Vanilla back in the day.  When MMOs first started coming out the idea was anathema to me.  I was (and still largely am) all about the single player experience, and to me an "MMORPG" was almost a contradiction in terms.  In my view an RPG is about assuming the role of the hero of the story whose actions drive the plot to its completion.  Thus RPGs like the Ultima series to the original Baldur's Gate to Skyrim have been my bread and butter in gaming for decades now.  I also had a healthy skepticism of how the social aspect of these newfangled MMOs was going to play out, as the internet was no less toxic back then than it is today.  I didn't have any friends who played, so there was no one to help tempt me into it and provide a safe, non-toxic bubble I could partake of it with.

So for many years I avoided World of Warcraft altogether.  While I had played Warcraft 1 & 2, I never played the legendary 3, so I didn't have the strong tie to the franchise and its story to lure me in either.  It wasn't until some time in 2009 during the Wrath of the Lich King era that my best friend finally encouraged me to try it, and much to my surprise I was immediately hooked.  I continued playing for the next few years through the end of WotLK and into the first part of Cataclysm, at which point I put down the game for good.

While I never got to experience true Vanilla, the old world Azeroth leveling experience from 1-60 was still there during WotLK, and I have a lot of fond memories from that time.  When the Classic version of the game was first announced I will admit I had a wistful desire to join in, but for the longest time I just considered it not practical.  My life just does not afford me the luxury of setting aside four hours every Tuesday night for "raid night", and what's the point if you can't partake in the endgame experience?

Nevertheless, in the last few months I've been listening to a Warcraft-focused YouTube channel that the YouTube algorithm started pushing on me.  It has a lot of interesting information about the history of WoW and its evolution, and gradually it's been stoking the nostalgia fire inside me, reminding me of my glory days soloing dungeons with my hunter and owning the level 60 Alterac Valley bracket in PvP.  Finally I broke down and realized, why not?  So what if I can't raid?  Most of my best memories are from solo play anyway, so I can at least enjoy the leveling experience if nothing else.

So yes, I officially have Warcraft Fever, and it has been dominating my gaming time for the last couple of months, sadly to the neglect of this blog and my YouTube channel.  I'm going to try to fix that and get back into at least some of a routine of posting again.  Now I have no intention of making WoW videos for my channel, but I think I will write up a few more blog posts on it, going over my memories from back in the day as well as my experience now with Classic.  In the meantime please forgive my absence and pray that something comes along to snap me out of this obsession - like the Fangs of Asterkarn DLC for Grim Dawn getting a release date in the near future.

The Road Ahead 2024 Edition

Now that I've finished the Hammerhold DLC for Kingdom Rush Vengeance and will soon be done adding Isfet to my Impossible Hero Challenge series, it seemed like a good time to do a new road ahead post to put down my thoughts on what games I'll be working on for the rest of the year.

I really was not expecting a new DLC for Vengeance, and it, along with the announcement of KR5, have rather thrown off my original plan for the year.  I had hoped this year to get back to finishing some of my older projects, like my Baldur's Gate and Stronghold videos, but Kingdom Rush is what pays the bills (well, not really considering my channel isn't even monetized yet, but it certainly is a lot more popular than an old DOS game from 1993).  So we roll with the changes.

If you haven't heard, the fifth Kingdom Rush title, Kingdom Rush Alliance, will be coming out July 25th.  Given that, I'd really like to do Legends of Kingdom Rush before then.  It's extremely doubtful I can get all video content done before then (I don't even know what I might be doing for it besides a walkthrough, having not played the game yet), but I'll give it a try.  But regardless, when July 25th hits I can guarantee I'll be dropping everything to get into it and start posting content as quick as possible.

First will be a walkthrough series, as usual, and then I'll have to see about an Impossible Hero Challenge series.  If you haven't been reading the updates, Alliance will now let you use two heroes on a level at once.  In exchange for this power (which includes having two hero spells to use), it looks like the game will not include a major power like Rain of Fire, Lightning Bolt, or Soul Impact.  I'm not sure right now how I would go about an Impossible Hero Challenge when you use two heroes at once.  I'll have to play the game to find out.  It may be that you can opt to only use one hero at a time, but obviously the game will be balanced around having two, so I'll just have to wait and see.

Assuming I do one (and of course I'll find a way one way or another), it will definitely consume the rest of 2024.  The devs have announced the game will launch with 12 heroes and 16 maps, so with 3 modes that's 48 sets of potentially 12 videos each to do.  If I do the same cadence I settled into with the Hammerhold DLC of two per week (which is about the max I can handle), that's 24 weeks to get through it all.  I have to finish the walkthrough series first obviously, but I can probably crank that out in a few weeks.  And of course we can absolutely expect new levels and new heroes as time goes by, so expect KRA content to go well through 2025.

Of course my Skyrim series will continue coming out every weekday as well.  This year I've gotten a lot more proactive about planning out my content, and it's really helping me to visualize the future better.  For instance, I know I'll publish my last Isfet video on 5/7.  Now with Skyrim I have to do a lot of estimating of how many videos it will take to do particular content, but with 400+ videos already I'd say I've gotten pretty good at it.

Right now it looks like my current efforts to 100% explore Skyrim will take at least through July.  After that we'll do the main questline, the Civil War questline, and Hearthfire content, and that should take us through September.  After that we'll head to Solstheim for the rest of Dragonborn content.  Once that's done the series proper is over, but I am going to go back and do some "non-canon" videos for the sake of completeness, such as the questlines when you side with the Dawnguard and Stormcloaks instead.  All in all I expect Skyrim to go through the end of 2024.

So 2024 will definitely be Skyrim and Kingdom Rush Alliance, plus Legends of Kingdom Rush thrown in wherever possible.  It looks like I'll just have to push my other projects to 2025.  However, I will say I've been working diligently on getting ahead in generating videos.  At first this was because I was going to be gone for a month this summer and probably wouldn't be able to produce any content, but I didn't want my channel to sit idle for that long.  Well it turns out I'm not going to be gone for a month after all, but I still want to keep trying to get ahead.  I've been working on trying to get two weeks' of Skyrim content done every week, so every week I get one extra week ahead on the publishing schedule.  If I can keep this up then I potentially could be done generating all my Skyrim content by the end of summer.  That would then free up the rest of the year to either devote to another project or accelerate my release cadence for Alliance content.  It's a big if, so we'll see.

Of course the giant caveat is that I never know when I'll get the itch to play another game and just throw my schedule to the winds so I can play it instead.  Lately I've had a serious craving to go back and play The Summoning, an RPG from 1993 that I absolutely love.  We'll see what the year holds.  Let's just say that while I'm anxiously awaiting Alliance, I also wouldn't be terribly disappointed if the release date slipped.

Kingdom Rush Vengeance Update

Just a quick update, but I wanted to say how I've decided to do the release schedule for the new Vengeance DLC.  Ideally I would release a new map every day for my Impossible Hero Challenge series and thus get through all the new maps in only three weeks.  However, I'm finding that's a pace I just am not going to be able to keep up with.  Therefore for the next several weeks I'll be releasing Impossible Hero Challenge content on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I'll start putting out the Isfet videos, taking him through the Impossible Hero Challenge process.  Getting three videos done with a new hero on maps I've already mastered is infinitely easier than getting fifteen videos done on a brand new map, so this will give me the margin I need to keep content coming at a daily pace.  Thanks to everyone who follows this blog and keeps up with my content!

Another Quick Update

Just an update to let you know I am still here.  I know I haven't exactly kept my promise to have new non-Skyrim out sometime soon, but the new DLC for Kingdom Rush Vengeance comes out on Thursday, and I hope to have my first posts for it by Friday at least - possibly Thursday if life cooperates.

Quick Update

Yesterday my final video for Ultimate Doom went out, and as of today I don't have another series ready to publish out alongside Skyrim.  I have a couple I'm working on, but I've kind of decided on a policy where I'm not going to post a series of videos unless they're complete (no more Baldur's Gate playthroughs left hanging :).  I should have something new out in not too long, though.

The Road Ahead 2

I did an original Road Ahead post way back in 2020 as a way to put my thoughts down on the games I wanted to do for my YouTube channel in the future.  Since that time my channel has largely been dedicated to the Kingdom Rush series as well as Skyrim.  I've gotten a few smaller games in here and there, but those two have definitely consumed the lion's share of my time.

Having just completed adding Grosh to my Kingdom Rush Vengeance Impossible Hero Challenge, I'm getting very near to the end of Kingdom Rush-related content that I want to do.  I'm getting out some challenges a user sent me a while back, but after that I think I'm going to be done.

I've debated over the years whether to do an Impossible Hero Challenge for the original Kingdom Rush, but I think I've decided against it.  It's just a very different game from the later KR titles, at least in terms of how heroes work.  They're far more minor than in later games.  In fact they didn't even exist when Kingdom Rush first released, so the game wasn't even balanced around them.  And just to be honest, having done three of them now, I just don't know that I have another 1,000+ video Kingdom Rush series in me.

Some users have also asked if I'm going to play the mods that have started coming out for games in the series.  Again, after consideration I don't think I'm going to.  My vision for my channel has always been to focus on 100% walkthroughs of games.  I feel like my Impossible Hero Challenges fall under that umbrella, but I feel getting into modded content would start moving me away from that.  Yes, I've done several challenge videos for Kingdom Rush over the last year or so which don't really fit that vision, but I did them because 1) they were quick and easy to do, 2) it was a nice change of pace from whatever I was working on at the time, and 3) they generally prove to be fairly popular videos, which has helped grow my channel.  But I worry I could get lost in the weeds for months or longer if I get into the KR modding scene.

So then what is next?  Well, based on my best estimates I'm pretty sure I still have 1-2 years left to complete my Skyrim 100% Maximized Legendary Playthrough, so that will remain a constant for a while.  So it's really about what I can add in that doesn't compromise my release schedule for that series.

I can tell you though that my initial focus will be finishing up projects I've started but haven't completed, as I hate having loose threads hanging around.  That means I'll be finishing my Ultimate Doom and Stronghold series, and yes, if you've been with me for a very long time, I will be at last returning to my Baldur's Gate playthrough.  BG3 just launched, so maybe I can capitalize on resurgent nostalgia for the old games :).  However, I'll let you know now that I'm actually going to reboot that playthrough since it's been so long.

After that I still have all the games I put down in my initial Road Ahead post, plus several others that I've added since then.  I do want to return to my original idea for the channel which is to cover games from the 90s when I first got into gaming.  I'm not 100% sure what the first one will be once I get caught up with all my existing series, but I hope you'll stick around with me to find out.

Holiday Update

My long term readers (ha, I kill myself!) will have probably noticed that I've been off my usual release cadence.  While my Skyrim videos are still going out as usual, my Kingdom Rush Frontiers series has missed a few days.  That's because I got way ahead in my Skyrim series and have videos queued up through mid-December right now.  That's easy to do with Skyrim, since I try to keep each video in the 30-60 minute range, so I can crank out a week's worth of content in a pretty short time.  However with Kingdom Rush videos it's anywhere from 2-4 hours of video for a release (16 heroes times the average time to complete the map, which can range anywhere from 7 to 17 minutes depending on the mode).

I'm not burned out on my Frontiers series, but when all I'm playing is Frontiers and Skyrim back to back, I do get a little tired every now and then and need to take a little break.  So that's what I've been doing for the last couple of weeks and anticipate I will be doing through the holidays.

I've gotten back into Vampire Survivors a lot lately.  I got into the game pretty early on and loved it.  A few months ago though - about the time the Cappella Magna stage came out, I think - I just got burned out.  I'd been playing for months, but I got tired of new releases coming out every two or three weeks and having to chase all the new achievements and unlocks.  So I decided to put it on the shelf until version 1.0 released, which it did recently.  I've gotten back into it and 100% it all over again.  I'm debating whether I'm going to release any videos for it, but I think I might.

I also bought and have been playing Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.  This is a new game to me, but one I've always wanted to try.  I do plan on doing a walkthrough video for it, but I have quite a ways to go.  I'm just about to finish the campaign on normal.  After that I need to go back and find the last few secrets I've missed, then master the game so I can complete it on the hard difficulty, which is of course what I will do videos for.  I'm not expecting to get to that point for a few months though.

And finally I've been playing Borderlands 2 more lately.  As I said in my Road Ahead post ages ago, I have no plans to ever do content for it, but I'm still working on 100% it still after all these years.  Of course I beat the game when it first came out, but there's just so much to do for 100% - getting 6 characters to OP10, completing all challenges, grinding for all the needed weapons, etc.  It's something I jump in and out of when I need a break from something else and needs some FPS action.

So bottom line I'm still working on my Frontiers series, but I'm just taking the pressure off myself for the moment of doing two releases a week every week.  Come the new year I expect I'll be back to the normal rhythm, as I am excited to finish the series and move on to some other things.

The Road Ahead

I'd like to indulge myself for a moment by imagining that there's anyone who actually reads this blog or cares about my YouTube channel and talk about the road ahead.  I know there actually isn't, so this post will just be a way for me to put my thoughts down in writing.  Having just finished a milestone in my Kingdom Rush Origins Impossible Hero Challenge, I figure this is a good time to do so.

The Past

Let's start by talking about the games I've already done, because some things are not yet complete:
  • I want to do a 2nd quest video for Castlevania analogous to my first one.  There are a few secrets in the 2nd quest that aren't in the first, and the 2nd quest is obviously a lot harder, so I feel it is video-worthy.  If you recall my original post on the game, I talked about doing a speed run.  However, in the time since then I've realized that speed runs are just not my thing.  I'm a 100% kind of guy.  I may still try to do a high score run, we'll see.
  • I pinky swear I really will finish my Baldur's Gate walkthrough at some point.  I love BG, but an issue I have with really large RPGs is that I need to be in the right mood for them in order to maintain momentum and keep going.  Once I lose momentum, it can be hard to get it back.  I don't remember what distracted me originally.  It may have just been fatigue with the game (I actually have several more videos that I completed but just haven't uploaded because they need editing).  But fear not, at some point I will get that itch in the back of my mind that will propel me back into the game.
  • The only thing I still have to do for Ravenloft: Strahd's Possession is update my gameplay guide with new copies of the maps.  On this playthrough I did a much neater job of annotating the maps, and I'd like to put those better images into the guide.
  • Now let's talk all things Kingdom Rush:
    • I'm still loving my Impossible Hero Challenge.  I was worried that I was going to lose steam at some point (see the momentum problem I talked about above), but I'm actually still quite jazzed.  In terms of recording videos I'm actually working on the Shrine of Elynie, and I'm excited to finish that and start working on the bonus maps, which I know will really put our heroes to the test.
    • I would like to do a Veteran Hero Challenge (since there is no "impossible" difficulty) for both Kingdom Rush and Kingdom Rush Frontiers as well.  However, this is probably going to be way down the line.  Let me admit something: my Impossible Hero Challenge series really was born from a sense of guilt.  You see, when I did my walkthrough series for the game, I chose the hero best suited for the map.  However, on Steam you get all the heroes when you purchase the game versus mobile where only the first three are available and you have to purchase the others.  I know there are people on YouTube doing walkthroughs for the game using just the free heroes, and that put an uncomfortable itch in my brain that I wasn't truly one hundred-percenting the game by using the better, non-free heroes.  So I decided I wanted to go back and do the maps with the free heroes, and then the idea hit me for this series of doing all the heroes and ranking them.  I still have that itch for both KR and KRF since I did the same with those walkthroughs.  However, doing a video series like this is a huge commitment (for Origins I will ultimately do 1,104 videos - 23 maps x 3 modes x 16 heroes).  The thought of tackling that for two more games is enough to keep the itch at bay for now.
    • Kingdom Rush Vengeance is out on Steam now.  However, I have steadfastly avoided the temptation to purchase it yet.  I know the moment I do that I will switch over to it and have a hard time ever getting back to Origins.  So I am waiting until I finish my Impossible Hero Challenge before moving on.
    • I really want / need to update my gameplay guides for all three games.  However, doing so is just never as exciting as actually playing the games, so it's a matter of pushing myself to do so.

The Present

I've got a few things in the works right now:
  • Having completed Ravenloft: Strahd's Possession, I decided to go ahead and tackle the sequel - Ravenloft: The Stone Prophet.  This one is going to take a while, however.  I've only played about half of the game prior to this (it's just not as good as Strahd's Possession and I lost interest before finishing).  I need to do a first playthrough to figure everything out for an optimal walkthrough, then go back and actually record a walkthrough.  It will probably be a couple of months.
  • Just as the Halloween season inspired me to get back into Ravenloft, it also inspired me to go back and play Limbo.  I'm currently working on a no-death, all secrets run.  I just need a little more practice before I start recording my attempts, and then of course it's a matter of actually making that perfect no-death run.

The Future

I certainly have many games in mind that I want to do - so many that I somewhat despair of ever actually getting to them all.  For this section I'm going to limit myself to games and series I've already played before.  I'm not sure what order I'll do them in, so I'm going to group games by genre:
  • First let's talk RPGs:
    • I'm a big fan of the old SSI AD&D games, and I definitely want to do their Darksun series: Shattered Lands and Wake of the Ravager.  Shattered Lands is one of my favorite RPGs of all time.
    • Speaking of AD&D, after I finish BG1 (I promise!) I absolutely want to do BG2 as well.
    • Of course no old games channel would be complete without the Ultima series.  I haven't played every single one, but I definitely want to do 1-7 and both Ultima Underworld games.  I'll probably do 8 as well.  I don't know if I'll have the stomach to do 9 - for those who don't know, it's the equivalent of the Star Wars prequels for Ultima.  I'd ideally like to include the two Worlds of Ultima games (Martian Dreams and Savage Empire), but that may have to wait.  I have no plans to do any of the console games - whether ports or originals.
    • I'm a huge fan of the Quest for Glory series.  I've never played 5, but I have completed all the others, so definitely expect 1-4 and eventually one day 5 as well.
    • There's a nearly-forgotten old game called The Summoning that I absolutely adore.  It's an old-school isometric action RPG, and it's fantastic.  It was made by a company called Event Horizon, which later became DreamForge and made the two Ravenloft games.  It's actually a semi-sequel to an earlier game called Darkspyre.  I'd like to try to play that one first, but we'll see.
    • I've only ever played Lands of Lore 1, not 2 or 3, but I would like to do a video for it.  It's an interesting entry in the history of CRPGs - noteworthy, but not game-changing by any means.  I'll have to see if I'm inspired to try 2 and 3 afterwards.
    • I'm interested in doing playthroughs of the original Diablo now that it's out on GOG.  However, I will admit this is low on my priority list.  I'm not sure how well a randomly generated hack and slash dungeon crawler would do as a video series.
  • Now let's talk about simulation games:
    • Most all D&D games made back in the 80s and 90s were made for the AD&D rules.  Very few were made for the Basic D&D rule set.  However, there's an obscure old game called Stronghold (not the better known Stronghold game from 2001) that was that I'd like to do.  It's not an RPG, but a 4X kind of game, but from way before modern 4X conventions.  As such, it has a certain charm in how laughably awful its interface is.  Nevertheless, I've spent many pleasurable hours with it, and I'd love to keep its memory alive.
    • Warcraft 1 and 2 are available on GOG now, so I'm planning to do series for them.
    • I'm toying with the idea of doing the original MicroProse X-Com games - at least the first two.  I've only ever played Terror From the Deep, but if you don't know, it's largely just a re-skin of the original UFO Defense.  I have no interest in the few other games made after that, but I would like to do the 2012 Firaxis X-Com as well.  It is perhaps the best example ever of a remake of a game that captures the heart and spirit of the original while improving on it in every way.
    • Speaking of MicroProse, they also published the very excellent games Master of Orion and Master of Magic.  The Master of Orion series is well remembered, as evidenced by the 2016 remake.  Master of Magic seems to have become a game that time forgot, however, even though it is just as good as - or arguably better than - Orion.  I'm not sure how well these games would do as videos, but I'm at least keeping them in mind.
    • I played an old strategy game named Warlords 2 back in the day.  It probably wouldn't make for good videos, but it's one of those games I might do just for fun at some point.
  • I'd also like to stroll down the history of FPSes as well:
    • The original Wolfenstein 3D and its sequel, Spear of Destiny are definitely on my list.
    • How could I do classic FPS games and not do Doom 1 and 2?  I have so many fond memories of Doom deathmatches with my friends from my teenage years.
    • Half Life 1.  Enough said.
    • My favorite FPS games of all time, however, are Serious Sam The First Encounter and The Second Encounter.  I don't have the time to go into why I love them so much here, but as far as I'm concerned, this is the height of FPS glory.
  • And now miscellaneous PC games:
    • Star Control 2 is one of the most fun and best written games of all time.  The story is serious, but at the same time it's possibly the funniest game ever made.
    • Long before the modern Magic the Gathering games, there was originally the 1997 MicroProse game which took place in the world of Shandalar.  It was quirky, to be sure, but I have great nostalgia for it.
    • Raptor: Call of the Shadows was a vertical-scrolling shooter from the 90s.  Not particularly memorable, but I did have fun with it back in the day and might do it just for fun.
    • Plants vs Zombies
    • Portal 1 and 2.
  • This blog started out with a NES game, and I haven't forgotten them.  I need to get an El Gato to record from my NES Classic first, though, so it may be a while.  There are other games not on the Classic I want to do as well.  Here is the complete list I plan to (eventually) do:
    • Castlevania 2 and 3
    • Contra and Super C
    • Final Fantasy
    • Gauntlet
    • Ghosts 'n Goblins
    • Gradius
    • Kid Icarus
    • The Legend of Zelda 1 and 2
    • Marble Madness
    • The Mega Man series
    • Metal Gear
    • Metroid
    • The Ninja Gaiden series
    • Punch-Out!! (I'd do the original Mike Tyson version if I could)
    • R.C. Pro-Am
    • Shadowgate
    • Super Mario Bros. 1, 2 and 3

The Far Future

I feel like just doing the games above that I've already played will take the rest of my life, but there are so many more classic games I want to play as well.  I'll just have to see if I ever get to them:
  • There are several classic D&D games I still haven't played:
    • Planescape: Torment
    • Icewind Dale 1 and 2
    • The Gold Box series
    • The Eye of the Beholder series
    • Other miscellaneous Forgotten Realms games
    • The various DragonLance games
  • I've always been interested in the Might and Magic series.  A friend in high school got really into them and I watched him playing them some, and they always looked like solid RPGs.
  • MicroProse produced a game named Darklands that has somewhat been forgotten, but those who know it hail it as one of the best games of all time.
  • I did technically play King's Quest 2 when I was a little kid, but I had no idea what I was doing.  I do love classic point and click adventure games though, so I'd love to do the whole series.
  • There was a lesser known RPG series named Castle of The Winds.  History has not remembered it well, probably because it had the oddity of being a Windows 3.1 game, but I had a friend in high school who played it a lot and liked it.  I'm all for rescuing the memory of old games.
  • Besides the original NES Final Fantasy, I've never played any other games in the series (yeah, I know), but I've always been interested in them.
This list is by no means complete - my GOG and Steam wishlists are much, much longer than this - but I feel I have to exercise some restraint and list only my highest priorities.

Great Games, But Not in the Cards

There are some games which I love unreservedly, but have no plans to do videos for:
  • I'm a huge fan of the Borderlands series, but I have no desire to play them all over again.  It takes so long to 100% even one character, it would take years to do just 1 and 2.
